Todd has some more bragging to do about one of his many, young, successful offspring. A daughter in Holland, Obsessions In Blue English Rose (out of Eastriding Obsession). Rose has now won 3 CC's as well as BOB and BOS and only needs one more CC for her Dutch Show Champion title. Owner of Rose is Helma and Rudo Van Den Brink, Holland.

We wish all our friends and puppybuyers a nice MIDSUMMER TIME!!

A good showday for us today at Spaniel and retrievershow in Gränna. Our cocker Mistily's Fireworks was today 4th with Honour Prize out of 9 puppies (thanks to our english guest Glenn for handling Tim this day). After three shows in puppyclass, Tim has now decided to stay at home for a while until his fluffy puppycoat has started to look a bit more tidy.

In the springerring we got really nice results for our dogs, especially for our young debuting juniors, (only just 9,5 months young). First was Ollie, C. Moderation who won his class with CQ. Daddy Todd was then 2nd in openclass with CQ. Then it was the bitches. Cher, C. Mocha, won juniorclass bitches with CQ and Lily was 3rd with Honour Prize. Graftonbury Capella made her debute in the open class and did it very well with a 2nd placewith CQ and finally 4th best bitch. Judge was David Shields, England.

Todd also had his first progenygroup consisting of our three juniors and the youngster Jorstorparens Acaapella Hot Recall (thanks to Rosita for staying at the show with Wilma on this very hot day). The group got Honour Prize in the breedring and was BIS-2 in the finale. It's not easy to show a group to perfection with two males and one bitch in season. The fact that it in this case was daughter and sister doesn't matter in the world of the dogs :-) Thanks to Christina and Maria for helping out and doing their best.

On the same day it was a Spanielshow in Norway and we got great news from Christina and Michael Boije with their littermates, the Todd-offspring Alice and Andrew (Golmoore's Delicious Angel and Goldmoore's Call Me Spectacular) who where there. Andrew won CC and was 2nd best male while sister Alice also won CC, was BOB and also BEST IN SHOW!!! Judge was breedspecialist Dorothy Bury (Lyndora), England. Huge congrats to these fantastic results!!!

Tim was today at a Cocker Open Show in Gränna. He was 2nd with HonourP Prize out of 9 other dogpuppies. As usual, Tim performed as he was born to trot in a showring, epart from a coupkle tiny "happyjumpos" but after all, he's just a baby! Judge was breedspecialist David Shields (Whilholme cockers), England.

Take a look at the puppypage for our latest plans. It looks like it will be a litter this year but not until in December or so. More information is coming on the puppypage later, for example which male we decide to use...

What can we say... other than that we are very proud and we are sending our greatest congratulations to you!!!

Tim made his first appearance in the showring at Spaniel & retriever show in Hasslarp. He behaved and showed, as expected, almost flawless and he was 2nd with Prize of Honour. The weatherconditions wasn't the best, when it's blowing and raining, it's very cold and wet running and standing in the grass when you are a little cockerpuppy. But we are pleased with his debut!

My judgingdebut is now over and how did it go, well, maybe I'm not the right person to ask, but at least I left Nääs with a feeling of content that I had managed fairly good. I was never really nervous about judging (if it's a good or a bad sign, I don't know). The only little butterflie in my stomach made it's presence felt when we came to the showground and I saw the ring and thought, help, it's me who's going to be the judge here today, that was a unfamiliar feeling. But that little butterfly flew away as soon as the first small puppies entered the ring. My two ringstewardesses were very professional and that always helps. Nääs Castle was a breathtaking venue with lovely surroundings and perfect for dogshows. That we had the weathergods on our side was yet another bonus and we had perfect weatherconditions for both dogs and humans all day, a bit cooler than earlier in the week but sunshine all day and a light breeze from the nearby lake.

It was a whole new experience to be the one who made the decisions but when I got the hang of it I really enjoyed it and I hope that every exhibitor felt that they got a careful och honest judging of their dog, that was what I was aiming for. My warmest thanks to Springer West for inviting me to judge their show and to all exhibitors who came to show their nice springers for me. I had a very, very nice and fulfilling day!

We have had a quiet time at home and just been enjoying the beautiful springweather. The dogs have taken their first swimmingsessions in the lake and we are charging our batteries for this summers activities. This Saturday we are off to Nääs and it's time for me to judge for the first time. I look forward to this with great excitement but feeling quite a bit nervous as well. Of course, I know how I like a Springer to look like but standing there in the ring with your hands on the dogs is totally different to be an expert and "judge" outside the ring, many things will certainly not be that easy as it seems. But, as said, I'm really looking forward to this event and I'm sure I will learn a lot. I hope we will have a fine day without too much rain and then it's just to keep all fingers crossed and hope that I will not make a fool of myself. Detailed report from the show coming...

Charlescroft Made You Look, alias Otto, was here for a trim and we took the opportunity to take some photos. I guess you can say that he's indeed his fathers son and who dared to say that a springer with a half white face doesn't look like a springer??

The spring came for a visit today!! The dogs an I took the opportunity to enjoy the first real warm sunrays this year. It didn't last for long but better than nothing. It's obvious that it's not only we humans who longs for warmer and sunnier days now, the dogs get all happy and crazy as well. I took some snapshots that you can see by clicking the pic below:

This weekend we spent in Uddevalla and at Spaniel & retrieverclub annual doubleshow. First days results was a nice 2nd place with CQ in youngsterclass (12 entries) for Graftonbury Capella, CJ. Charlescroft Moderation, Ollie, was BOS-puppy. Judge for the adults was Per Iversen, Norway and Kim Bay, Denmark judged the puppies.

The second day, CJ was 3rd with CQ in youngsterclass (13 entries), judge was Frank Kane, UK. In the puppyring breedspecialist Jessie Borregard-Madsen, Denmark was the judge and Charlescroft Moderation was today BOB-puppy with his wild littersister Charlescroft Magpie, Lily, only a step after as BOS-puppy. Ollie was then BIS-3 in the big ring among puppies 6-9 months! Not to forget to mention, it was dad who showed both puppies to their wins as mum was in the other ring with CJ. That he's in the ring showing dogs is almost as unusual as earthquakes are in Sweden so he was very proud over the puppies success. Thanks also to Stig-Arne who showed wild Lily in BOB and BOS.

Just to let you know that we are still alive. It's been a quiet time here, at least at the doggiefront. But we have been busy rebuilding and redecorating our new, big kitchen. No kitchen in a true doghome is complete without a cosy doggiecorner, is it? Our dogs appreciate the idea of being able to keep an eye on the cooking from a comfortable couch. Just watch these couchpotatoes!

Tim has arrived to us today and he already seems to have charmed all the springers (as well as new mum and dad) with his cute black and white face and charming personality. We will soon take some new photos of him.
