4:th International English Springer Symposium 15-16 July 2006. The event will be
held in the country of origin, England and will except from breed discussions
with a specialist panel include a Fun 4 All Day the day after with lots of

This weekend was spent with our
neghbours in west. A part from spending time and enjoying the company of our
norwegian friends we also got to see puppies by Todd at kennel

Mistily's Annie Get Your Gun and Graftonbury Total Recall was
today eyetested by our vet. Eva
Gustavsson. Both had free and healthy eyes.
We are now waiting for Ivy to
come in season, which should happen within a month. |

It was time for Swedish spaniel &
retrieverclub to hold their, always a bit extra prestigious, big show at the
beautiful Skokloster, just outside the swedish capitolcity Stockholm. It can be
a bit windy at this place and this day we had a lot of wind and some cloudy
skies, but not a drop of rain, not until we sat in the car on the way home,
thanks for that! At the end of the judging the sun came through and made our day
even better! Graftonbury Total Recall, our perfect english gentleman
showed like ha always does, always ready to please and never disappoints us.
This time it nearly went all the way to the top. He started by winning a big
open class (12) with CQ and in best dog class he won again and also gained his
first swedish CC! In BOB he was beaten by the bitch and was BOS!? In the bitches
ring, Mistily's Annie Get Your Gun, also did it very well by being 2:nd
with CQ in youngsterclass (always a big class, this time with 19). Judge for the
dogs was breedspecialist Diane Scott (Lossiedoon) and the bitches was judges by
Morag Bolton (Pencloe). Both judges from Scotland. The show had a total entry of
95 adult springers. We had a lovely day and you all know that the journey home
goes soo smooth after a day like this, no matter how many miles you have to
drive before you get home!! |

To look nice and occasionally pose
as photomodels is not only a showdogs priviligue, at least not in our home,. We
treat all our dogs equally. We are proud to present our two homebred
littersisters, our pets. Charlescroft Christie Cromwell and
Charlescroft Cora Cooper, 3,5 years old. They are by Ch Mompesson Prince Charming and
Mistily's Magic Waltz. It's these two who have taken after their grandma and are
now ruling the roost here at home, and they do it with 8 "ironpaws". Both are
also having a very special place in mums heart (just ask anyone who knows us)
and they are always by my side.

After a weekend with a doubleshow
it takes a day or two longer before one have the energy to update the site. Long
journey, preparing dogs and carrying crates and bags, long days in the showhall,
late nights and early mornings does certainly take almost all your energy. I had
only one dog with me but the car was full anyway as we travelled together with a
big cockergang. Mistily's Annie Get Your Gun, "Ivy" did not let mum down this
weekend, on the contrary!! She was placed 4:th in her class with CQ both days,
in good competition. For this young and, so far, very unexperienced lady it
finally seemed that she realised what showing is all about. So, look out for her
in the future. Well, that is when she stops trying to nibble mums pants in pure
joy every time we are moving around the ring. But what the heck, you can't expect
everything at the same time, Rome was not built in one day, was it? But what Ivy
appreciated the most with this weekend was the bed at the hotel. As she is a dog
that could live in a bed, a luxurious hotelbed is pure heaven for her!!! |

Bergen, Norway, Norw ShCh Norw Tracking Ch Charlescroft Sky Diver was BOS
with Cacib. "Mattis" has had a break from the showrings for a while but are now
back in style again!! Congratulations to his owner Marit Bonsaksen! Mattis is by
Ch Nimblewhit Flower Power and out of Ch Mistily's Waltzing Matilda. |

We visited kennel Jorstorparens
today to see puppies by Graftonbury Total Recall and Trollängens Hot Lips. Of course, the visit included a photosession as

CRUFTS 2005 |
|
|
|
We took a trip to England for (among
other things) a visit the worlds biggest dogshow, CRUFTS in Brimingham. This was
the third time we were at Crufts and even if the show ifself certainly is not
getting smaller, now one can at least manage to find the way in and around the
halls. Well, you find the way to the springerring, the bar and the toilets, what
more can anyone ask for;)? Crufts is really "the place" for doggiepeople. Here
you find the best the dogworld can offer on four legs, genuine breedenthusiasts
and foreign visitors. For those who like to shop, Crufts can only be described
as the "mecca" for shopoholics. Here you will find everything you need and don't
need as well. |

Well, we where there mainly to see
the dogs. This year there were, except for the english dogs, also dogs from
Finland, Italy, Holland and the US. Personally I think that the very best
English springers you will find in the breeds country of origin. The highest
placings was also taken by four springers from England. |

This year was something special as
"Jez" won BOB and group 2:nd. He's bred and owned by our friends Frances and Bob
at the worldknown and famous Mompesson kennels. I can't imagine anyone else who
would better deserve this fantastic win. We are proud of having a daughter by
this marvellous dog at home in our kennel. |

We have got a lot of snow here
again, much to the joy of the fourlegged ones. I love winter and snow but 10
degrees minus and 20 cm snow in the beginning of March feels a bit odd, like two
months too late. But I will not complain, it keeps the dogs very clean, and
happy, as well!. We have "exercised" the camera a bit today
(so it's fit for fight for our
trip to the UK and Crufts next week)

At Spaniel & retrievershow in
Moheda, Graftonbury Capella made her showdebut in juniorclass. She was 9
months only six days before the show and should have been in the puppyclass,
especially since she really is just a big, bouncy baby. She was 4:th in her
class with Prize of Honour. Mistily's Annie Get Your Gun, who mum/handler
is starting to get at least some control over in the ring, won youngsterclass
with CQ and was BB-4. |

After a hell of a storm who struck
us with brutal force here in southern Sweden, we have been out of electricity
for almost two weeks. Luckily we had somewhere to move during this time (THANKS,
mum and dad, not everyone can take in a whole kennel). Many people had and are
having it much worse, being stuck in their homes without electricity or phones.
We were lucky, but it's always nice to be home again. At times like these we
really understand how much we depend on the electricity (and phones) in our
everydaylife and we can only be grateful that it wasn't 20 degrees cold and that
we didn't have a litter in the house, that hadn't been fun at all. |
