We want to wish all our near and dear, friends and puppypuyers a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Thanks also for all nice christmasgreetings, in the post and in the mailbox. As usual, we have sent none but that doesn't mean that we are not thinking of you all and that's what counts, isn't it!?

This time of the year, when it's near to an end, it's popular with some kind of summary, a look back and maybe some plans and wishes for the next year. We have had a rather quiet year, at least if you see to the number of shows we have attended. We have only been to eight shows this year and that's not that much. But our dogs have never been shown that much and I guess we will keep our shows limited even in the future. But if you are lucky, you may run into us at some shows here and there.

We finally (after 2,5 years) had a litter again this year by Graftonbury Total Recall and Mistily's Annie Get Your Gun. The last part of the year, we have been devoted to them with everything that comes with having a big litter of puppies. Five of them got very nice new homes and families nearby. One bitch recently moved to her new owner in Finland (see below) and one bitch will move to the UK in the summer. Ollie, Nina och Lily will stay here for now and you can see them on their own pages.

This coming year, 2006, our most immedeate plans are to start training and showing our puppies and also some of our other dogs. We look forward to the spring and summer and the outdoor shows. They are so much nicer than the crowded indoorshows. Of course we look forward to this years Club Show and we are also planning a trip to the UK in July to attend at the International ESS Symposium there. Time will tell what more is in store for us...

Also we have already started to think a bit of our next litter. Probably we will have one in the end of next year and Graftonbury Capella, CJ, is hopefully our next "mum to be", if everything goes as planned. But first we have to find a suitable male...and take some new photos of her :-)

So, have a nice ending of 2005 and we hope to see you sometime, somewhere in 2006!!!

Today we said goodbye to Charlescroft Mesmerize. We wish Minna Kangaslampi, kennel Saframin in Finland, our greatest good luck with her in the future. We miss her already but we hope to meet again in the future, so until then, we say...see you again, little "Hilma-Louise"!!

Today we got a nice e-mail from Charlescroft Maximilian and his new family. Max is now living together with "big brother" Oliver, Charlescroft Clive Cunnigham. As you can see from this picture they enjoy each others company. We have opened a new page on our site, we call it "Our puppybuyers page" . Here we will put photos of Charlescroft-dogs from their owners. Click the photo to see more:

Our obediencestars are once again shining strongest of all. Anna Mikaelsson and Dottie (LP1 LP2 C. Polka Dots) did their debut today in class 3 with another first prize and became classwinner!! What more is there to say...other than a huge CONGRATULATIONS once again, you two are fantastic!!

As always, when you have puppies, eight weeks goes really fast and before you know it it's already time for some of them to move and start their new future lives together with their new families. Of course it feels a bit sad but we and the puppies do agree with all the good things that goes with it. Now they get ALL the attention without having to fight with the wild littersisters and brothers. The first one to move from home is C. Made You Look. You can see below what he thought about the preparations before the move.

I strongly refuse to be clean, I said... I REFUSE, I REFUSE, I REFUSE, ahh, what the... it didn't work!

Our puppies are now almost 8 weeks old and some of them will soon leave us for their new families. One charming and hapy boy is looking for an owner of his own. Contact us if you are interested. Hopefully we will update with new photos this coming weekend.

We also want to congratulate the "puppies" from our second litter when they are celebrating their 4th birthday today. Mimmi and Penny here at home sends birthdaygreetings to their sisters and brothers!!

The time flies when you have puppies in the house, especially with ten of them. Serving food and cleaning up many times a day and you also want to spend much time together with the puppies in between. We have had many visitors, of course, to the puppies great delight. They have met all the adult kennelmates, the weather has been nice so they have been spending some time outside, they have been trained a lot on standing nice on the table and yesterday they had their first bath, which was much needed. Soon it's time for the first trip in the car and some traning with collar and leash. There are now new photos on the puppies page, both standingphotos and headshots. Just click the link below to see them.

It's once again time to congratulate our very clever obedienceteam, Anna Mikaelsson and LP1 LP2 Charlescroft Polka Dots. We already know that they are really, really good in obedience and now they have also tried themselves in working class. On their first competition in this class they WON with 292 points!! From a very happy and proud mum we hear that Dottie is a dog that never stops amazing, so eager to please and to co-operate, just like a real springer!! What a teamwork!! As breeders, we are very proud of you two. CONGRATS, CONGRATS, CONGRATS"""

Our pups are now soon 5 weeks and growing and developing really fast and it's so much fun to spend time with them and see them discover new things all the time. We took some photos during one of the, much appreciated, visits to the kitchen. Click the photo below to see them.

The time flies and the puppies are now already 3 weeks. Much has happened the last few days. They have moved to their new pen and are starting to get to know the world outside. It's also fun to take a bite on each other or on mum. The teeth is starting to come so it's obvious that it's "itching" in their small mouths. They are already eating other than mums food with a VERY healthy appetite and there is nothing wrong with the tablemanner either. This weekend we will take 4-weeksphotos.

Nice tablemanner already at three weeks

Those of you who are waiting for new photos of the puppies will have to wait a little longer. Next photosession will be this weekend or in the beginning of next week. We are waiting for their eyes to open so they will look more like dogs. But we can easily say that they are a bunch of really chubby ones who are just eating, sleeping and growing. They have made their first tries on their small, short legs with mixed results. They are really funny to study now when it's starting to move in the box. Mum Ivy is a perfect mum and she's looking after her babies as she never done anything else, exactly as it should be.

Todd's son Graftonbury Fifthavenue won today his 4th reserv-CC at Birmingham National. CJ's two littersisters G. Coppelia and G. Cassiopeia won their classes and her brother G. Sirius was 2nd in his! Congratulations for these nice results to Glenn and Jan!!

They are here now!!!!!!!!!! The result is no less than ten puppies, five of each. Ivy had a quick and uncomplicated delivery and produced the ten puppies in less than five hours. We don't know if we ever seen more alert and frisky puppies, they just came out as cannonballs from the safe haven inside to the big world outside. It's really nice to see a puppy coming out with such a speed as it seems like it's already on it's way. Then they just grabbed a meal in the foodbar and refused to let go. Do we need to say that we have a very proud mum at home. A proud father is also Todd, but he will have to wait a while until he will meet his children here at home. Of course, we think that all these puppies will be stars, well, it will be really exciting to follow them all. If you too want to see them, just click the puppies.

The whole lot

We are starting the countdown today with estimated one week to go for Ivy. At this time things are going in s...l...o...w...m...o...t...i...o...n, to say the least. Eating takes time, walking takes time and even to go up the stair, four steps, to go into the house takes more time than usual. Ivy is mostly just eating and sleeping with some short "walks" around the house to make the most necessary. Everything is just fine and Ivy seems to be very happy and content, in spite of her big stomach. We are now waiting curiously for the result...

Mum says she can feel them having a ball in there!!

When we are waiting for our small arrivals we got more good news about Todd's babies success in the showrings. At Springerclub show in Vänersborg today, Goldmoore's Call Me Spectacular was BOB-puppy with his littersister Goldmoore's Delicious Angel as BOS. Big congratulations (and thanks for the nice photo) to Christina Boije, breeder and owner of these two treasures!!!

Time for this weeks pregnancy update. We have now started to count the other way around, only two weeks left and Ivy looks like she could start whelping at any time. The tummy is big now and it's becoming more and more hard work to carry it around. It's been especially tiresome during the last days summerheat. She's spending more and more time in the whelpingroom and she prefers the whelpingbox (even if she has a human bed in there as well). She tells us when she wants to go in there and have a little piece and quite away from her boisterus kennelmates. It's really exciting now, mostly for mum and dad, Ivy herself is taking the whole event in her stride.

Preparing to become a mum is really hard work

:: 2005.08.17 ::

We are very proud to present three of Todd's young offspring from three different combinations who have all been Best In Show-puppy one or more times this spring and summer. Congratulations also to his son Jorstorparen's Angel Boy who did the initial test and passed, on wildtracking. We wish them and all of his children good luck in future competitions and we will follow them with great interest.

Six weeks on the way and the tummy is growing and growing and so is the appetite and Ivy is happy and alert. She's looks a lot like a very pregnant duck when she's walking around with her special, funny style and the tail wagging. To be prepared is essential and the puppyroom with the puppybox is now organised. After a curious inspection Ivy decided that it was quite cosy and she's happy to take a nap in it now and then. So the pregnancy is, so far, going as planned.

We got great news from Finland and Todd's young, handsome son, Ocean Pitfal's Baeddan Boar. At a puppyshow in Vyborg this weekend Brutus was BOB and BIS-1!! There were over 50 puppies in the big final. Many congratulations to owner and breeder of Brutus, Suvi Lindholm. We are looking forward to him entering the official classes.

:: 2005.08.07 ::

Well, it's a week since last update and we can now say that it's beyond all doubts that there are puppies on the way. Ivy has now gone five weeks and this last week she has really "blown up" and quite a lot too. Makes us wonder where this will end... Below is a demonstration of how one uses the privileges as a mum to be to the max.

Like a big loaf in the rising

:: 2005.07.31 ::

Maybe it's time for an update. It's now four weeks since Ivy and Todd were mated. Ivy has shown all the classic signs uptil now. She's been really sleepy this weeks and has mostly been seen curled up somewhere comfortable and snoring. Playing with the other dogs has been out of the question and she's just looked at them, yawned and gone to find a nice spot to continue her beautysleep on. This last week she has also been rather slow in her foodbowl and even left some food, which is really unlike her and if it's not only imagination and wishful thinking, we think she's become a bit more round this last week. So, there are many signs that things are progressing the right way, but we'll have to wait another week until we are 100% sure.

Club Show at Skokloster  with the castle in the background

This years edition of Club Show was really a hot event where a tiny spot in the shade was almost as desireable as a topplacing in the big classes. Both two and fourlegged exhibits and visitors were all very brave and with the help of loads of liquids and the shade from the showtents we managed to get through the day and have a nice time doing it. We had only one dog entered and at this day it felt like a good decision, a couple of rounds in the ring was enough for me and I really admired those who ran in and out the rings with several dogs all day long. Graftonbury Total Recall (who forgot our "agreement" and decided to put all his energy to look at girls all day) was today 2:nd in open class with CQ. There were 16 entries. The total entry at the show was 185, 54 of them were puppies. Judges was two breedspecialists, Kate Keely (Alhambra) judged the dogs and Ray Smith (Melverly) judged the bitches.

Also a nice addition to the day was the Todd-babies. Six of his offspring participated at the show and four of them were placed in their classes. First it was his son Lelica's Cruisin For A Bruisin who won puppyclass 1 over 14 other malepuppies and he ended as BOS-puppy. In puppyclass 2 bitches were three littersisters and Goldmoore's Delicious Angel was 2nd and Goldmoore's Precious Angel was 4th of 12 puppies. In juniorclass  Stardom Silk And Satin was 2nd of 13 bitches. Congratulations to owners and breeders of these nice looking youngsters!!
